We make this so easy for you by taking care of all the details from the moment you arrive. We provide maps and detailed written guides to the best walks in this outstanding area. In the mornings you will be taken to the start of your walk. When you get back to the Hotel in the evening, you can relax and enjoy Amar's cooking, which has gained quite a reputation locally. Dinner bed and breakfast, and a packed lunch included in the price.

This short walking break couldn't be easier to get to. Based at Innerleithen, you are only 45 minutes by car from Edinburgh (just over an hour by public tranport), If arriving at Edinburgh airport or railway station, we can arrange a transfer direct to the Hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1	Arrive Innerleithen
Day 2	Yair to Traquair (12 miles) - Drop off in the morning at the tiny hamlet of Yair - then a challenging and rewarding walk, following the high level route over the Minch Moor (to 524m) taken by the 18th century cattle drovers on their way to the southern markets. Peace and solitude to enjoy some wonderful views.
Day 3	Traquair to St Mary's Loch (12 miles) Two options - One follows an old drove road to the top of Birkscairn Hill (661m), the other goes by the lower level route of the Southern Upland Way. Both options end at the Tibbie Shiels Inn, an old coaching inn by the side of St Mary's Loch, where you can enjoy a well earned drink before you are collected and taken back to Innerleithen.
Day 4	Peebles to Innerleithen (12 miles) - Drop off in the morning to Peebles - then an exhilarating high-level walk taking in 3 tops over 500m, including the splendid Lee Pen. Fine views north to Edinburgh and beyond.
Day 5	Depart Innerleithen

Getting There By Air - Flights to Glasgow and Edinburgh are available from Easyjet, British Airways, and KLM, among others. By Rail - Edinburgh Waverley is the nearest rail station. For times visitthe Scotrail online booking service, and type in details. By Road - From Edinburgh (journey time approx 45 minutes), head south on the A701 and A703 to Peebles, then follow theA72 to Innerleithen.
