On receipt of this, we will arrange accommodation and send you details, together with an invoice for the balance of the cost of the holiday. The balance is payable at least one month before the start of the holiday. If the booking is made less than one month before the start of the holiday, you should pay the full amount at the time of making the booking. For details of how to pay, see the Booking page.

2. Cancellations

Cancellation must be notified in writing. The deposit will be forfeited in all cancellations. Where cancellation is received less than 1 week before the start of the holiday, the full cost of the holiday will be charged and there will be no refund. 25% of the total cost will be refunded for cancellations received between 3 weeks and 1 week before the start of the holiday.

3. Liability

Make Tracks cannot accept liability for death, injury, or loss or damage to property during the course of the holiday.

4. Safety

You are responsible for your own safety when walking. It is essential that you are properly equipped and clothed for walking in Scotland, and that you have the appropriate map (whether or not supplied by Make Tracks) and a compass and know how to use them. Basic advice on safety is contained in the leaflet "Enjoy the Scottish Hills in Safety," available from Make Tracks, or from the Scottish Sports Council, Caledonia House, South Gyle, Edinburgh WH12 9DQ, Scotland, UK.

5. Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance to cover cancellation, injury, death, loss or damage to property and liability to third parties for the duration of your holiday.
